Milgadara near Young, NSW, is currently home to three generations of the Daly family as well as prime lamb, cattle and a host of soil micro-organisms. Bill and Rhonda Daly were one of the first Soils For Life case studies in 2013 where they told their story of questioning conventional practices and shifting their focus to soil health. We’re inviting Australian farmers from 6 Natural Resource Management (NRM) regions to apply for the Australian Government’s Carbon + Biodiversity Pilot.
This Pilot will be trialling arrangements to reward farmers for on-farm biodiversity efforts 🌱💧
The eligible regions have been selected to test the program across a range of jurisdictions, farming systems, and vegetation types. Other NRM regions may be included in the future but have not been determined at this time.
Eligible regions are: Burnett-Mary (QLD), Central West (NSW), North Central (VIC), North Tasmania (TAS), Eyre Peninsula (SA) and South-west (WA).
